Collectors Gala Reception
Save the date Friday October 13, 2017

Plan to join us for one of the most highly anticipated plein air fine art events in the country. Attendees of this exciting party have the exclusive opportunity to meet and mingle with 35 of the nation’s top plein air artists, view and purchase paintings created during the Invitational plus selections from the Artists’ private library, in advance of the general public.

Be the first to learn of the award winning artists and artwork.  Each artist will submit what they consider to be their three “best” paintings created during the Invitational week to be judged for the awards to be presented during this gala reception.  Artists are competing for over $20,000 in awards, including the coveted $10,000 Best in Show award.

LPAPA will host an exclusive, invitation only, private VIP champagne reception from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Access to this private reception is limited to sponsors and patrons who have contributed support for this year’s Invitational.  VIP attendees will have the first opportunity to preview the artwork with the artists and place purchase reservations.  VIP Art sales will commence at 6:45 pm.

The doors will open at 7:00 pm for ticket holders to the Collectors Gala reception, and art sales will immediately commence.  Guests will meet and mingle with the artists, enjoy delicious cuisine selections, fine wines or other hosted and no-host beverage selections, and live jazz music.  A special Art Catalogue, created exclusively for this event, and complimentary valet parking are included in the ticket price.

This will be the only opportunity to see all of the original plein air artwork created during the week, including the award winning paintings.  All artwork sold during the Collectors Gala will go home at the end of the evening with its collector, and sold paintings will be replaced with fresh artwork for the Saturday and Sunday public art shows.  Gala ticket holders are also granted early re-entry at 9am on Saturday, before the doors open to the public at 10am.
