2017 Events

Laguna Beach was established as an art colony by plein air artist Norman St. Clair in 1903 and early plein air artists, including William Wendt, Edgar Payne, Frank Cuprien and Anna Hills, helped open the first gallery in Laguna Beach in 1918.  Nonprofit Laguna Plein Air Painters Association’s mission is dedicated to preserving and promoting Laguna’s artistic legacy and the plein air painting tradition.
